AMD Ryzen 7000 ‘Zen 4’ Lineup Rumored To Include Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X & Ryzen 5 7600X

Greymon55 leaks information on Twitter about AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs. And according to it, the CPUs will be launching in September in four flavors the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X & Ryzen 5 7600X.

AMD Ryzen 7000 launch lineup rumored to include 16 Core Ryzen 9 7950X, 12 Core Ryzen 9 7900X, 8 Core Ryzen 7 7800X & 6 Core Ryzen 5 7600X Desktop CPUs

The AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPU will most probably be available in the market as soon as the 15th of September 2022. Greymon55 also said that the lineup would include four SKUs, the Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X, & the Ryzen 5 7600X. Only supported by AM5 LGA 1718 socket, these CPUs will have a similar core configuration as their Ryzen 5000 predecessors, and not only that, instead they will have the brand new Zen 4 architecture and most unique package design.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Desktop CPU: 16 Cores and 32 Threads

Offering 16 Zen 4 cores & 32 threads at max, we first have the flagship AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. As AMD already showed us during the Computex ‘Gaming’ demonstration, featuring two Zen 4 CCDs to accommodate over eight cores on its Ryzen 9 parts, with a prototype 16-core chip, the clock speeds are going to be sky-rocketing, getting up to 5.5 GHz across several threads. A TDP of up to 170W and 230W PPT is expected to be seen in the top AMD Ryzen 9 7000 SKUs.

Greymon55 also tweeted, telling us about the pricing of the top AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU. He said that it would be available at around 5999 RMB, which is about $900 US, or it would cost an additional 100$ than Ryzen 9 5950X, which was released at an MSRP of $799 US. With AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X having the exact price of 6049 RMB in the Chinese market, we could expect that the final pricing of AMD Ryzen 9 7950X would also end up at around $799 US as it is just a regional price.

It is also too early for us to be discussing the prices because there is no authentic disclosure about the price yet. It could be accurate a week before the launch. Before that, we can say nothing for sure.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Desktop CPU: 12 Cores and 24 Threads

The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X would be packing itself with The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X. With the same configuration as the current Swift Alder Lake CPU, the Intel Core i9-12900K (Amazon), targeting Intel’s top Core i7 SKU, the CPU might end up with 16 cores and 24 threads. It is not sure whether this chip will also feature a 170W TDP design or a more moderate 125W TDP design, the clocks will have a slower frequency boost, but it is not confirmed yet.

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X Desktop CPU: 8 Cores at Up To 5.2 GHz

Considering the mainstream parts, considering this model replacing the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is also an 8-core part but boosted with 3D V-Cache, retaining the 8-core and 16-thread design with some high clock speeds, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X is all set to come in with a bang. Its price will probably vary around $450-$500 US. Seeing the competition of Zen 4 8-core with the Zen 3 V-Cache 8-Core will be an exciting event to witness.

Although it might not be part of the awaited releases, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X is also given cues. But it might be released a few months later.

AMD Ryzen 5 7600X Desktop CPU: 6 Cores at Up To 5.1 GHz

In the end, featuring Zen 4 with six cores and 12 threads comes the 6-core Ryzen 7 7600X. Before AMD plans to keep moving with more low-end SKUs, this chip will be the most entry-level SKU at launch. Its price will fall around $300-$350 US.

As Intel launched Alder Lake, its Core i5 SKUs started blowing up the mainstream market share, which caused problems for the AMD Ryzen 5 CPU segment. Before that, it was doing exceptionally well. The exciting thing to watch is whether AMD will take control of the market against Alder Lake, but in addition to Alder Lake, it also got competition against Raptor Lake’s mainstream parts. It will be exciting to watch how it goes.

Let’s take a sharp look at the stunning specs of the invention.
